        The human body was created for movement.  If an individual does not utilize their body, they will decline in physical fitness.  The sad truth is most American's do not use their bodies often enough.
 
        One-on-one personal training in your home for St. Louis in Webster, Kirkwood, Clayton, Ladue, and South County areas.  I have been ACE certified since the year 2000 at which time I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University.  I have developed a superior training program for women, which is customized to your particular needs.  I am trained in yoga, Pilates, step, kickboxing, and partner stretching in order to aid clients in strength, flexibility and mobility.

  • Toning Program - This program is directed towards weight loss and achieving a toned and lean appearance.  The main concentration is on low weights, high reps, and short rest periods.  This results in maximum calorie burn.
  • Partner Stretching - This program is directed towards helping individuals that have limited flexibility and joint problems, especially effective for those over the age of 40.  A combination of assisted stretches and yoga will bring you a feeling of freedom you haven't enjoyed since younger years.  It's the Fountain of Youth!!!
  • Pilates - This program focuses on improved flexibility and strengthening of the core and leg muscles.          
  • Private Aerobics Classes - Cardio Kickboxing, Pilates, Yoga, and Step.

            We live in a technology based era in which most jobs consist of a cubicle and a chair with limited physical movement.  We proceed to go home and sit on the couch and watch television, movies and play video games.  Going to the gym?  Who has time when you're working fifty hours a week, with kids, and friends and families?  You have to find the time!  Heart Disease is the number one killer of Americans and obesity levels are rising every year.  Do you want to have a heart attack?  Do you want to live to be 65 with a life of constant chronic pain, obesity and other health disorders due to inactivity?  Or, due you want to live a long healthy life?
     
            American's today are fighting an obesity epidemic.  Epidemic is an unusual term; for it reminds me of a disease or plague that has no cure.  Who's to blame - society, technology, restaurant and fast food portions sizes, laziness?  It doesn't matter!  People tend to put the blame anywhere but themselves.  The truth is there is a cure to obesity, it comes from within.  You have to make the decision right now and decide that you want to live a healthier life.

            The key to a healthy lifestyle consists of balance.  This includes cardio, strength training, stretching and healthy eating.  Not fad dieting.  I guarantee you will see faster results if you eat healthy and exercise rather than diet alone.
     
            In order to eat healthy, you have to enjoy what goes into your mouth.  There are an insane amount of diets being advertised in the weight-loss industry.  Most of those diets are restricting valuable nutrients.  Personally, I do not believe in restricting any form of nutrients especially carbohydrates and fats.  Carbohydrates create glycogen for your brain to function and fats create energy for the body to burn.  Both nutrients are extremely important when dealing with an exercise program.  Furthermore, when dieting if you deprive yourself of nutrients that your body needs, you will find yourself overindulging.  The main issue when it comes to eating is basic physiology-"calories in versus calories out".  Energy is measured in calories and is obtained throughout the foods and nutrients that we consume.    Food is fuel for the body.  You need to eat a balanced diet of all nutrients for the body to function properly.  This is why I am against fad diets that exclude some of these basic nutrients that our bodies need and crave.   
     
            My advice to healthy eating is to eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full.  Remember - "Calories in versus calories out".
